Hope found in His Mercy

I believe one of the most asked question is how we be a part of the kingdom of God. It may be asked in various ways, but perhaps the most likely way we see this question asked is how do I get into heaven. We may not realize it is hardwired into our being. In the book of Genesis we see that we are created in the image of God. Part of this image is seen in the eternal desire that is seen in the above questions. Jesus teaches on the idea of His Kingdom in Luke 17. And this teaching leads to the unpacking of the human desire to be made right with God.  This is called Righteousness. See the real root of the question of being a part of God’s kingdom or being made right with God is our desire for this and pursuit of it. Deep down we want to know what is expected of us and how we can obtain this.  In Luke 18 Jesus tells a parable about a Pharisee and a Tax Collector who approach this idea of being right with God in two very different ways.
